📖 About the Workshop

In a world filled with shifting narratives, true clarity comes from engaging directly with the Divine word. Using Surah An-Nisa (4:34) as a focal point, Imam Fode Drame will guide participants through the linguistic nuances, historical context, and ethical implications of being "guardians of the unseen."

This retreat moves beyond superficial readings to uncover the theological and character-building dimensions of protection, mutual care, authority, and dignity within family and community life.

What You Will Explore & Experience:
  • Linguistic & Classical Exegesis: A deep dive into key Arabic terms, syntactic structure, and classical vs. modern translations of Surah An-Nisa 4:34.
  • Historical Context & Modern Application: Understand the social realities at the time of revelation and how they apply to modern pastoral care, conflict resolution, and family life.
  • Interactive & Reflective Sessions: Combination of live lectures, open Q&A circles with Imam Fode, and small-group breakout discussions.
  • Community Highlights: Congregational prayer breaks, a resource kit (notebook + recommended readings), and an optional community Mawlid.
