A Journey of the Heart
This trip is intended for Imam Fode Drame’s students as a spiritual journey with the purpose of character developmentand self realization. This is not a tourist trip. Each stop offers a chance to connect with Allah, your teacher, and fellow travelers through prayer, service, and dhikr.
This journey will have difficulties and ease along the way and it will be our task to keep the balance and benefit from every experience that comes our way. Every year the trip takes on a life of its own, but there are a few things you can expect and look forward to:
Accommodation: Hotels in Rabat & Banjul. Accommodations in Basse and Danphakunda Village.
Transportation: Group bus transportation to and from the airport (pending arrival/departure time), and between all sites and locations on the ground.
Guided Tours: In-depth guided ziyara (visits) in various cities in Morocco, to honor various awliyah (saints) and spend time in local zawiyahs (centers for spiritual gatherings) .
Classes: Dars/classes by Imam Fode in Gambia: each year Imam chooses a new topic or book for his teachings during the trip.
